Logistics Management recently featured A. Duie Pyle in a customer success story highlighting how Pyle worked with Volvo Group North America to stabilize warehouse operations and support cab production at its Kings Mountain, North Carolina facility.

The article details how Pyle expanded beyond its traditional regional footprint to resolve a critical supplier-related logistics challenge. As the transition unfolded, Pyle worked alongside Volvo to quickly stabilize the warehouse operation and improve the flow of materials supporting cab production across Volvo’s production network.

Building on prior success at Volvo’s Macungie, Pennsylvania plant, Pyle deployed a dedicated team that organized, staged, and moved initial inventory into the warehouse in just nine days while workers actively installed power, racking, and scanning infrastructure. Pyle also restructured the facility layout by truck model to accelerate part turn times, introduced custom KPIs for inventory visibility, and aligned the site to meet Volvo’s ISO and environmental requirements.

The full Logistics Management article includes perspectives from Dave Yancey, project manager, production logistics at Volvo Group North America, and Chris Incudine, vice president of solutions design at A. Duie Pyle, on the challenges behind the transition and the partnership that helped make it successful.
