National Motor Freight Traffic Association Highlights Kris McLennan in Board Member Spotlight
The National Motor Freight Traffic Association recently featured Kris McLennan in a board member spotlight. The recognition highlights the expertise Kris brings not only to A. Duie Pyle, but also to the NMFTA board as they help shape the future of the transportation industry.
When asked how she got her start in trucking, Kris reflected on her early introduction to the business:
“I started working in the billing department after school when I was in high school. My sister worked as a Biller (she was going to college), and they needed help on Friday nights, so the little sister without a social life was signed up. A. Duie Pyle had one terminal back then, and that turned out to be a blessing because we learned it all. It was too small to have specialized departments like we do today. Those after school hours turned into hours on the rates team while I went to college, which then blossomed into roles in pricing, evolving to the role I have today, almost 40 years later.”
Over nearly four decades with A. Duie Pyle, Kris has played an important role in the company’s growth from a single-terminal operation to a leading transportation and logistics provider serving the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Ohio corridor. Her experience, leadership, and industry knowledge continue to make a lasting impact across the organization and the industry.
